Committee Responsibilities

 

Communications

1. Maintain Website, Facebook Account and other social media
    2. Maintain Chapter's computer, printers and projector if chapter owns said equipment.
    3. Publish the Quarterly Newsletter
    4. Relate any upcoming chapter events or programs to the readership. Maintain Calendars.
     
     
 

Conservation and Environment

1. Develop a comprehensive and rational plan for stream work so resources and labor can    be used most efficiently.
    2. Prioritize work on stream projects from information gathered by TU, the DEC, and landowners.
    3. Share project suggestions with the appropriate DEC personnel at the earliest possible date.
    4. Work with Finance Committee to apply for “Embrace A Stream” and other grants when appropriate.
    5. Seek out and secure funding, materials, and professional assistance when needed.
    6. Purchase and maintain material and equipment necessary for projects.
    7. Notify the Publicity and Newsletter Committees of dates, times, and locations of projects.
    8. Post TU stream improvement signs when available.
    9. Seek out and evaluate new stream improvement ideas, devices, and research for possible use by the chapter.
    10. Carry out any other related tasks as assigned by the Board of Directors.
    11. Schedule stream cleanups and improvement projects.
     
 

Engagement/Membership

1. Schedule meeting programs.
    2. Handle publicity and public relations
    3. Work with other Lehigh Valley Chapters on Joint Meetings.
    4. Membership recruitment and retention.
    5. Schedule training events and other activities.
    6. Administer nominations and election of BOD Members and Officers.
    7. Schedule meeting presentations and activities.
     
 

Finance

1. Conduct raffles
    2. Schedule and perform audits.
    3. Apply for grants.
    4. Schedule fundraising activities.
     
 

Fly Tying Class

1. Arrange for venue and dates of class.
    2. Set date for first class.
    3. Insure that there are enough manuals and materials available for class.
    4. Keep loaner tool kits stocked with all necessary tools.
    5. Update Flt Tying Manual and course content when necessary.
     
 

TU Service Partnership

1. Handle all activities associated with the TU service Partnership Program.
    2. Liaison with national TU Service Partnership program.
     
 

Women's Initiative

1. Women's membership recruitment.
    2. Liaison with Women in the Outdoors.
    3. Liaison with Casting for Recovery.
    4. Schedule activities for women.
     

 

Youth Outreach

1. Administer all activities associated with youth and 5 Rivers activities.
    2. Liaison with WTF Jakes Youth Field Day.
    3. Liaison with DRSFA Outdoor Adventures Day.
   

4. Youth Camps Recruitment.

    5. Administer First Cast activities.
    6. Liaison with the Trout in the Classroom Program and schools involved.
