Our new video series! TROUT TIPS

Trout Unlimited is about three things: conservation, community, and of course fishing. Fishing is, in fact, the front door to conservation for many anglers. It is through time on the water that we learn more about how rivers work, and why clean water and healthy habitat matter.

Today on "Giving Tuesday," we want to give something back to the incredible members and supporters of Trout Unlimited. We are launching TROUT TIPS, a new fishing tip video series featuring Kirk Deeter, Editor of TROUT Magazine and co-author of the Little Red Book of Fly Fishing. This twice-monthly video series will tap Kirk's vast experience as a writer on fly fishing. After all, who among us couldn't improve our fishing experience, from cast to catch to release?

This first video focuses on the proper way to mend a fly line. I am guilty of sloppy mends, and found Kirk's tip helpful. Stay tuned for a lot more fishing content on www.tu.org. From fly-tying articles and videos from our friends at Tightlines Productions and Fly Men Fishing Company, to a new joint e-newsletter with Fly Rod and Reel, to steep discounts on gear from partners such as CheekySawyer Paddles & Oars, and Flyassortments.com, membership in TU will not only make the world a better place it will make you a better angler, too!

Here is a link to TROUT TIPS: http://bit.ly/1PralRm.

Give it a view, and let us know what you think. If you have a tip of your own, share it directly with Kirk (kdeeter@tu.org) as he is hard at work on a book of fly fishing tips from TU members.

Tight lines,
